Neurodiversity in Cybersecurity Summit 2022
This event qualifies for 4 CPEs
It’s well-documented and often discussed that diverse teams lead to better, more profitable outcomes, and the last couple years have seen a surge in long-overdue dialogue about the importance of equity, inclusion, and belonging. Much of this dialogue has focused on gender equity and including/amplifying voices of the BIPOC* community in cybersecurity.
With this Summit, we turn our attention to the unique strengths, experiences, and challenges of neurodivergent cybersecurity professionals. Neurodivergent (ND) people have brains that function in ways other than what is considered standard or “neurotypical” (NT). Examples of neurodivergence include but are not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and synesthesia. These types of neurodivergence are not mutually exclusive, meaning a ND individual might be both autistic and dyslexic, for example.
This Summit will be loaded with content developed by and for ND cybersecurity professionals, but will also be invaluable to anyone who manages, reports to, works with, or just wants to support ND colleagues and friends.
