Guidance on Lobbying and Political Campaign Activities of 501(c)(3) Organizations
This event qualifies for 1.5 CLEs
Benefits
501(c)(3) organizations are subject to very specific rules - and very harsh penalties - with respect to both lobbying and political activity. Lobbying is permitted, but only in specific circumstances. Political activity is never permitted.
This live audio conference will explain, in plain English, how to avoid the pitfalls and how to take advantage of the opportunities available to 501(c)(3) organizations.
Practical guidance will be provided as to the types of lobbying and the amount of lobbying in which 501(c)(3) organizations can safely engage. Practical tips will be offered on monitoring both lobbying and political activities to avoid penalties.
