The World Congress 3rd Annual Leadership Summit on Health Insurance Exchanges
The World Congress 3rd Annual Health Care Reform Congress on Health Insurance Exchanges, July 24-25, 2012 in Washington, DC will address HIX planning and strategy for health plans. In 2012 Health Plans will find themselves in a precarious position as they struggle to prepare for upcoming deadlines on exchanges, analyze and adjust to the final rule released in March, await the Supreme Court ruling on the individual mandate, the final release of the essential benefits package and other key policy details that will deeply affect the future of their business model. All in an election year that could change the tides yet again.
With the ruling on Health Reform due in June, attendees will have the unique opportunity to participate in the first major brainstorming and networking session to develop strategies in whatever scenario develops. Health plan professionals cannot afford to miss this critical planning platform and first opportunity to discuss the ruling and its implications with leading health plan executives, state and federal policy makers and academic experts. In July when the political landscape becomes more defined, delegates will also have the opportunity to
- Debate latest policy, judicial and political developments for Medicaid, Exchanges and Medicare in a co-located opening keynote panel with the 2nd Annual Medicaid and 7th Annual Medicare Summits
- Map out possible landscapes that will develop under either a Republican or Democratic administration in 2012
- Examine the role of private industry in state settings and exchanges as well as the relation between this model and existing Medicare models, in a co-located session with the 7th Annual Leadership Summit On Medicare
- Discuss the implications for states with no exchange planning or implementation currently in place
- Participate in case studies on creating a small business marketplace and other existing programs currently addressing the challenges laid out by reform and the insurance exchange model
- Identify the technology and infrastructure challenges for Medicaid/Exchange integration in a co-located session with the 2nd Annual Leadership Summit on Medicaid
