The National Broadband Act has initiated the auction of portions of the RF Spectrum formerly reserved for use by Federal agencies to repurpose the spectrum for commercial use. Much of the Test Instrumentation used by the T&E community is reliant on the RF spectrum, and these auctions require the Test Instrumentation community to adapt to loss of access to RF frequency bands to maintain current capabilities.
